A division bench of the AP High Court on Tuesday directed the municipal authorities not to allow any video ad hoardings in the twin cities as they are causing accidents on roads. Speaking to the GP for Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation, the Bench found fault with the authorities who had allowed the erection of hoardings all over the city in an unlawful manner. You allowed their erection on the pavements. In the gardens. And on the pavements. And video ads along the road, inviting accidents, the bench said.

The man walking in the street doesn’t know when his life will come to an end, the Bench said. The Bench also made it clear that the pendency of this petition is not a hindrance for the payment of compensation to the families of those killed in the collapse of hoardings.
The advocates committee that was appointed to study the issue of hoardings in the city also found serious lapses in the entire process.
