This is what happens when you try short cuts. I managed to click it as I was on my way for a trek at Kondamadugu near Ghatkesar. The driver of this automobile carrier container tried to beat the barricade by going on the wrong side at the Railway underpass near Alugadda Bavi near Rail Nilayam and ended up crashing into the barricade on the other side. The incident which happened in the early hours of Christmas day resulted in a huge traffic pile up from the Rail Nilayam and Mettuguda. For once, the Hyderabad Traffic Police was quick to get a crane and pull the truck from the mess it created. Strangely, none of the major newspapers had this picture. Or did newspaper photographers take a holiday?
