Hyderabad 3rd most cosmopolitan city


Hyderabad is India's third most cosmopolitan city according to a survey conducted by indicus and published in the Economic Times

A BIG city does not necessarily make it more cosmopolitan. For instance, Kolkata and New Delhi are big cities, but trail Nagpur and Hyderabad in their cosmopolitan nature, essentially defined here as variation in circulation of various different regional language newspapers in the city. Even Guwahati, the country's gateway to the North East, ranks higher than most metros, as the city throngs with not just Assamese, but even Bengali, Hindi and various North East language speaking populace.

The survey was done among 100 top Indian cities.
